Papakura Local Board
I am committed to Papakura District and its residents, and the needs and interests of the people of Papakura are my priority. I was elected to the Papakura District Council in October 2007, as Ardmore Ward Councillor, and before that, served the people of Papakura from 2002 to 2005 as a New Zealand First List Member of Parliament.
I have served your community as Ardmore Ward Councillor, regularly attending Council meetings, community events and meetings, and assisting local community organisations, residents’ groups and families throughout the district.
Elect me to the Papakura Local Board and I will give you skilled inclusive leadership, and transparency in your Local Board.
I will work for you, to provide a safe, strong, proud community for you and your family. I will work hard to ensure that our rates are best invested in core functions locally in your community.

Counties Manukau District Health Board
As a current Papakura District Councillor and a former Member of Parliament, I have experience relevant to being a Member of the Counties Manukau District Health Board.
Publically funded healthcare must be available and accessible to all members of the community, based on people’s needs. I believe in advocating for the community to ensure that the District Health Board remains focussed on providing healthcare, and that administration and support services are maintained at a sensible level to support and enable medical staff.
Community based health services are an important part of the health service, and I believe in promoting and supporting these services, ensuring their availability for all people, whatever their needs.

Personal Profile
Brent Catchpole
My professional background is in accounting and business marketing. As a member of the Papakura Local Board, I will bring my skills to the table to ensure that Papakura ratepayers receive value for every dollar of rates spent in our community.
I am proud to have worked alongside Mayor Calum Penrose. I am immensely proud of projects such as the establishment of the Takanini Community Police Station, and the Outdoor Pursuit Centre in Dominion Road. I am also proud to have voted to oppose the proposal to rename the Hawkins Theatre, and to have voted to save the Papakura Golf Course for the people of Papakura to use in perpetuity. Let’s keep our heritage.

Conflicts of Interest
To the best of my knowledge and belief, I have no conflicts of interest with the Counties Manukau District Health Board at the time of my notice of consent to being nominated as a candidate for membership for the board of the District Health Board, and I do not believe that any such conflicts of interest are likely to arise in future.
