After 23 years of living in New Plymouth I feel I can now call myself a local. On this note I have put my name forward for election to the New Plymouth District Council. 

I have a number of professional qualifications, skills and experience to offer a position on the Council but my best qualifications is the application of common sense, compassion to a cause and a sense of maturity to sensitive issues. Qualifications, such as a Degree in Business Studies majoring in an overview of Management applications, financial experience, taxation and accounting and business principles are part of the professional contributions I could offer this position.

I have made voluntary contributions to the community of New Plymouth through advising and supporting organisations such as Citizens Advice Bureau, Soroptimist, Restorative Justice, Maori Women's Welfare League and made contributions to the Taranaki District Health Board.
