Hello everyone. I have lived in the Fordell area for much of the past half century. I am a Maths teacher at Wanganui City College. Rowena and I have lived all of our married life in the village and our 4 children have attended Fordell School in their Primary years. I have served on the School Board of Trustees for a number of years, and more recently as Chairperson till 2008. I am standing in the local body elections because I believe the rural communities make up a vitally important part of the fabric of provincial New Zealand, and especially so in the Wanganui District. The Community Board represents the views and concerns of the rural population and I would like to contribute and be a part of this process.
