Barry is a long term Pakuranga resident and was a founding member of Peoples Choice which became the largest local body organisation in the former Manukau City. Barry is a company director with experience as a senior finance manager in manufacturing, contruction, transport and the public sector. His personal interests are fishing and boating and believes the Waitemata and Manukau Harbours make Auckland one of the best cities in the world in which to live. Barry believes that local body government must focus on delivering services that are best provided locally without duplicating services provided by central government. This next election will result in a new set of local councils and an Auckand wide council and it is important Pakuranga's voice is heard strongly. This will take a united team.
