I am a resident of Tuakau, have been on the Onewhero−Tuakau Community Board for 9 years, being the Chairperson for the past 6 years. My areas of prime responsibility have been Port Waikato and the Tuakau Domain Hall restoration. I believe in community boards being retained to assist both rural and residential ratepayers with queries and in getting satisfaction with any problems they may have. I am very active in infrastructure (stormwater upgrades, CBD upgrades, roading, footpath maintenance, reinstatement of full rail services through Franklin including Tuakau and Mercer and local flooding problems). I am passionate about ensuring Franklin not losing its unique identity under the amalgamation of councils in the Auckland area. I seek your endorsement and continued support to be able to continue to assist ratepayers and keep dialogue open between Councils, ratepayers and the community board.
