Prominent New Zealand athlete Allison Roe is well known for setting world records and for winning the New York and Boston marathons in 1981. Allison has since enjoyed a successful business career balancing home life as a wife and mother with the demands of her own business ventures. Her special interest and research around healthy life styles is recognised in NZ and overseas. Her governance experience includes the North Shore Hospital Foundation and the Health Sponsorship Council. "I am working for a new paradigm in health care and am standing for real change and much needed integration in our health system. I believe we must prioritise 'wellbeing' and disease prevention, improve the efficiency of service delivery and be sensitive to recognising cultural values. I will work with and listen to our communities, ask questions and represent our Waitemata District Health Board families with a spirit of passion and purpose."

Conflicts of Interest
To the best of my knowledge and belief, I have no conflicts of interest with the Waitemata District Health Board at the date of my notice of consent to being nominated as a candidate for membership for the board of the District Health Board, and I do not believe that any such conflicts of interest are likely to arise in future.
