I am a resident of Wairoa district and I am offering my services to the Wairoa community.

It is time for new leadership and I urge you to vote for me as you will be voting for democracy, open governance and accountability.

I will:

• aim to improve relationships between the Treaty partners.

• consult local communities, follow the majority wishes of the people who will be most affected and who will have to pay.

• endeavour to ensure rates are held at fair and reasonable levels while focusing core responsibilities such as roading, footpaths, sewerage, water supplies and public safety.

• encourage Councillors to contribute their views in free and open public debate at Council meetings.

• review the Council Code of Conduct to allow for freedom of expression where dissent or contrary views are held.

• hold Council staff accountable for their actions and levels of performance.
