I have been associated with the health industry for the last 34 years, firstly as an Ayurvedic Doctor in India and for the last 15 years as the owner of a holistic wellness centre in Auckland. In that time I have seen the suffering in our community from poor health, particularly as the result of poor diet, lifestyle & environmental factors.

If elected I will bring my knowledge & experience to the Manukau DHB to improve the health outcomes of our community. I am committed to working hard to make a difference, particularly for those who suffer from lifestyle related diseases such as diabetes, obesity & heart disease.

The New Zealand Health Industry recently recognised my work in preventive health by awarding me a Lifetime Achievement Award for my work in promoting wellness through Ayurveda.
